Rust Merch Guide: Official Rust Merchandise You Can Put on a Shelf

Rust merch is a search that means three different things. Some people want the skins from the in-game store, some want a T-shirt, and some want the AK they have crafted a thousand times standing on their shelf. This guide is about the last two: Rust merchandise you can hold. We build it as hand-painted props, desk pieces, apparel and metal signs, officially licensed by Facepunch Studios, the studio behind Rust. Everything below lives together in the Rust collection.

What people mean by Rust merch

The first meaning is digital. Rust has a rotating item store on Steam, and the skins in it only exist inside the game. That is not merch you can unpack. The second is Facepunch's own merch store, run by the studio itself. The third is everything physical sold by other shops, from print-on-demand shirts to handmade replicas. Here the one question worth asking is whether the seller is licensed. lootroom is: we are officially affiliated, endorsed and licensed by Facepunch Studios for our physical Rust products. So when a Rust prop or hoodie of ours says official, it means exactly that.

Lifesize props: the heart of Rust merch

This is where the shop started. The guns, items and skins from the game, rebuilt 1:1 from the in-game model, made from PLA and hand-airbrushed in our Bavarian workshop. The Rust AK prop is 75cm end to end and the single most ordered piece we make. In Rust it is officially the Assault Rifle; most players just call it the AK. The SAR and the Thompson come at full length too, and the Rust AK collection holds the rifle in dozens of community and streamer skins. If you want to know which finish is which, the Rust AK skins guide walks through every one.

Everything is built for display, on a wall, a shelf or behind a stream. Wood and metal are paint: what looks like a worn wooden grip or rusted steel is hand-painted PLA, which keeps the pieces light enough to hang.

Smaller pieces for the desk

Not every room has space for a rifle. The Rust Furnace is 17cm tall, the smelter every base starts with, burnt-orange chimney on a stacked stone base. The Codelock is a true 1:1 at 11.5 by 14cm, the keypad behind every raid story. The Medpen stands upright on a desk, and the Rust tea pots bring the mixing table teas as a row of five. For the guns in a smaller format there are the Rust miniatures: the Mini AK at 40cm, plus a Mini SAR and a Mini SMG.

Rust merch you can wear

For anyone who would rather wear the game than mount it, the Rust clothing collection has six comic designs, among them the Rust Comic AK, Hazzy and Fullgear. Each comes as a unisex hoodie, unisex T-shirt, youth T-shirt or sweatshirt, in Black or Marine, sizes S to 5XL, on cotton and cotton-blend garments.

The other wearable piece is the Metal Facemask. Every facemask has two holes for a velcro strap you can add at checkout, which turns a wall piece into a cosplay mask. All eleven skins are in the Rust cosplay guide.

Metal signs for the wall

The Rust signs are the exception to the PLA rule: real aluminium, 20 by 30cm, printed with comic art we designed with a German street-art and graffiti artist. Hazzy in the hazmat suit, Fullgear in the metal facemask and the New Player fresh off the beach with a rock. Take one, or all three as the metal sign bundle.

Kits: a whole loadout at once

The Rust kits put pieces together that belong together, and each one costs 10% less than buying its parts separately. The Solo Kit is the lone-wolf loadout: the lifesize AK, the Big Grin facemask and the Medpen. The AK and SAR Kit puts the two rifles side by side, and the Mini Kit brings all three miniatures.

Print it yourself

If you own a 3D printer, the Rust STL files are the other way in. They are the models our painted props are built from, as an instant download: the Rust AK STL files, the facemask STL, the pistols, the Double Barrel, a tea pot and more. Printing, sanding and the paint job are then yours.

Rust gifts: what to buy for a Rust player

Buying for someone who plays every wipe? The Rust gifts page sorts the range by budget. Under €50 sit the metal signs, the Medpen and the STL files. Between €50 and €150 you find the Furnace, the Codelock, the Eoka, the minis and the lifesize AK. Above that come the full-length rifles and the kits.

Two tips if the date is close. The props are hand-painted to order, so order with time to spare. And if time has already run out, the STL files arrive by email the moment the order goes through, and the Lootroom gift card is delivered by email too, from €25 to €500, on a date you choose. Skins are personal, so a card lets them pick the AK finish they actually wanted.

How the props are made

Every prop in this guide is hand-finished in Bavaria: made from PLA, hand-airbrushed, sealed. Because a person paints it, no two come out exactly the same, and the finish is an interpretation of the in-game skin rather than a pixel copy. This is official Rust merchandise, built to display for years, with free shipping on orders over €100.

What players ask about Rust merch

Is there official Rust merch? Yes. lootroom is officially affiliated, endorsed and licensed by Facepunch Studios for its physical Rust products: the props, the apparel and the metal signs.

Can I buy Rust skins in real life? Not the Steam items, those stay in the game. What you can buy is a physical replica of a skin, hand-painted on a 1:1 prop. The AK, the SAR, the MP5 and the facemask come in many of the skins you know from the game.

Are the guns made of real metal or wood? No. Every prop is PLA, hand-painted to look like worn wood, rusted steel or whatever the skin calls for. The only real metal in the range are the aluminium signs.

What is a good Rust gift under €50? A metal sign, the Medpen or an STL file for someone with a printer. If you are unsure which skin they would choose, the gift card.

Do you ship outside Germany? Yes, to more than 40 countries, with free shipping on orders over €100.
