RUST1:1 IRL propRust Codelock | Lifesize
About this piece
The Rust Codelock in real life — the icon of base security, hand-painted as a 1:1 lifesize prop. The keypad lock that every serious base locks up behind, rebuilt at true 11.5×14cm and 5cm deep. Printed in PLA, hand-airbrushed in our Bavarian workshop, finished to sit on a desk or a shelf.
The most recognisable item in Rust base defence
No item says "Rust" to a base-builder quite like the Codelock. It's the four-digit gatekeeper behind every raid story and every "what's the code?" in voice chat, the thing that turns a door into a vault. Anyone who has played a wipe reads that silhouette in a second.
A worn box, not a shiny one
The housing is rust brown and blackened from wear, with the grey keypad set into the front, digits, enter key and cancel key shaped one by one. Above it sit the two round indicators, one green and one red. Vent slits on the face, a screw in each corner. All of it is printed and painted, there is not a single separate part on the piece.
Built for collectors and Rust setups
Each Codelock is hand-finished in Bavaria, printed in PLA, hand-airbrushed and sealed. Compact enough for a desk, or for a shelf between your other pieces, and light enough to move around. Official Rust merchandise, built to display for years.
What players ask about the Codelock
What is the Codelock in Rust? The keypad door lock (also written "code lock"), Rust's core base-security item, used to lock doors and gates behind a four-digit code. One of the most universally recognised items in the game.
How big is the Codelock prop? True to the game at 11.5×14cm, 5cm deep and 130g. A compact piece for a desk or a shelf.
Does anything on it work? No. There's no electronics inside, the keys don't press and the two indicators don't light up. Both are printed and painted like the rest of it: this one is built to be looked at.

Frequently asked
Does it work like it does in the game?
No. Nothing on it works: no electronics, no moving parts, nothing that lights up or opens. It's printed and hand-painted, and what we're after is the look, wear and all.
How long does shipping take?
Once shipped, Germany 1–3 days, the rest of Europe 3–7 days, and 7–14 days everywhere else. Tracked by the regional carrier depending on destination country.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we ship to 40+ countries from our workshop in Bavaria.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
14 days, no questions asked. Item must be returned in its original packaging. Customs on international returns are the buyer's responsibility.
How do I clean and care for it?
A microfiber cloth and a dry brush is all you need. Avoid solvents, alcohol-based cleaners and direct sunlight for long periods. Our matte sealer is robust but it's not invincible.
Can I commission a custom finish?
Absolutely. Drop into our Discord, open a ticket with your reference images, and we'll come back with a quote and timeline. No upfront fees for the quote.
