RUST1:1 IRL propRust Thompson Default Skin
About this piece
The Rust Thompson in real life — the Tommy-gun SMG, hand-painted as a 1:1 lifesize prop. 80cm full-length in dark gunmetal with drybrushed silver wear and reddish wood-look furniture, recreated in PLA and hand-airbrushed in our Bavarian workshop. Finished for display rather than play: the Thompson with Default Skin lifted from the in-game model onto your shelf.
Rust's close-quarters Tommy gun
The Thompson is Rust's classic submachine gun: the Tommy-gun-style frame that turns up on roams and in tight raid corridors where fire rate beats range. Wood-look grip and forestock, the straight box magazine, that unmistakable 1920s-gangster silhouette dropped into a post-apocalyptic survival game. Our replica carries the reddish wood-look furniture, the slab-sided receiver with its painted markings, and the rod-look stock that loops back into a rounded shoulder rest, modeled on how it reads in-game. The forestock is wrapped with real tape and capped with a bolt head at each end.
Built for collectors and Rust setups
Each Thompson prop is hand-finished in Bavaria: made from PLA at full 80cm length, hand-airbrushed, sealed. The whole body is drybrushed in silver over dark gunmetal, so it reads as metal that has seen use rather than a fresh print. The magazine is removable, it slides out and back in. On a shelf, across a desk, or behind a stream backdrop: lifesize, properly proportioned, ready to anchor a Rust corner. Official Rust merchandise built to display for years, with free shipping on orders over €100.
What players ask about the Thompson
What is the Thompson in Rust? Rust's submachine gun: the Tommy-gun-style SMG built for close quarters, where its fire rate outperforms slower rifles. A mid-tier staple on raids and roams.
Can I take the magazine out? Yes, it slides out and back in. Useful for photos or for changing the display angle.

Frequently asked
Is this a functional firearm?
No. Every piece we make is a non-firing display prop. Nothing inside moves or fires, the barrel is not bored through, and there are no working parts. It is built to be looked at, not fired.
How long does shipping take?
Once shipped, Germany 1–3 days, the rest of Europe 3–7 days, and 7–14 days everywhere else. Tracked by the regional carrier depending on destination country.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we ship to 40+ countries from our workshop in Bavaria.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
14 days, no questions asked. Item must be returned in its original packaging. Customs on international returns are the buyer's responsibility.
How do I clean and care for it?
A microfiber cloth and a dry brush is all you need. Avoid solvents, alcohol-based cleaners and direct sunlight for long periods. Our matte sealer is robust but it's not invincible.
Can I commission a custom finish?
Absolutely. Drop into our Discord, open a ticket with your reference images, and we'll come back with a quote and timeline. No upfront fees for the quote.
