Comics SAR: Rust's comic-book skin on the SAR, hand-painted as a 1:1 lifesize prop. 75cm full length, printed in PLA and hand-airbrushed in our Bavarian workshop. Finished for display rather than play.

Drawn, not painted: white, black ink and a KAPOW

Everything on this SAR sits in white and light grey, and every edge and seam is drawn over in black ink, so the whole rifle reads as a comic panel rather than a painted prop. KAPOW POW KAPOW runs across the receiver in hand lettering, with motion lines trailing off it, and hatching and small crosses cover barrel, stock and magazine. The magazine carries a halftone dot screen, straight out of a printed comic. The band, cords and metal loops are real, and they are painted into the drawing along with everything else.

Officially the weapon is the Semi-Automatic Rifle, SAR for short, and it is Rust's mid-game workhorse. The Comics skin puts a drawn, high-contrast finish on it instead of camo or colour. Our replica gets the boxy receiver and the straight stock right, with proportions held close to the game model.

Every Comics SAR prop is finished here: PLA at a full 75cm, airbrushed, sealed, then band, cords and loops fitted by hand. It arrives in a few parts that plug together, no glue. On a shelf, across a desk, or in your stream backdrop. Official Rust merchandise, built to display for years.

What is the Comics SAR in Rust? The Comics skin on the Semi-Automatic Rifle: bold black line-work over a white body, hand-lettered KAPOW and comic hatching. The SAR is Rust's mid-game workhorse.

How is it different from the Comics AK? Same skin, different weapon. The Comics AK carries the same drawn look on the assault rifle; this is the SAR, the boxier and straighter of the two. We stock both as 75cm lifesize props.

How is it different from the Default SAR? The paint. Same 75cm SAR underneath; the Default is the plain one, the Comics is the drawn one.
