The Rust Custom SMG as a 3D print
The Custom SMG is Rust's high-fire-rate close-quarters gun, the one most players just call the SMG. These files let you print one yourself, at the game's 1:1 scale, roughly 66cm assembled. The set comes split into big and small parts across two folders.
What you need to print it
Nothing exotic. The numbers sit in the spec table further down. A few parts want supports, but nothing beyond what your slicer switches on by default. One thing sets this set apart from the rest: the Custom SMG is glued rather than plugged together, so keep standard plastic glue to hand.

What makers ask about the Custom SMG files
Will it fit my printer? The parts are sized for a 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume. At that size or larger the whole set fits.
Do I need supports? On a few parts, yes, and your slicer's defaults handle them.
Does it need glue? Yes, and this one is the exception in our range: the parts are glued with standard plastic glue rather than plugged together.
Does it come painted? No. What you print are the raw parts. The hand-painted Custom SMG is a separate product in the shop.
Is this a real firearm file? No. These are display-prop files for a weapon from a video game. What you print is a solid model for a shelf, not a functional firearm or any part of one.

Print questions
Which slicer should I use?
Cura, Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer — any modern slicer works. Load the STLs, punch in the values from the spec table above, and you're ready to slice.
Do I need to use supports?
Yes, for some of the parts. Nothing tricky: turn supports on in your slicer and its default settings will do the job.
What filament works best?
PLA. It prints easily, gives a clean paintable finish, and it's what we use for our own props. Avoid ABS unless you really know your printer and have an enclosure.
Can I sell my prints?
No. The files are for personal use only. We don't sell commercial licences, so printing to sell or for commissions isn't covered.
