Rust Fish Skin AK

Fish AK: Rust's fish skin on the AK, in the 50cm short-stock build. Printed in PLA and hand-airbrushed in our Bavarian workshop, compact enough for a desk or a shelf.

A fish, not a pattern

The Fish doesn't wear fish motifs. It is one. The head takes up the back of the receiver, with a painted eye on each side, dark pupil inside a gold-yellow ring. Forward of it run overlapping scales, raised rather than painted flat, going from deep green through olive into gold, and they carry on onto the barrel. A fishing line crosses the spine, strung with small gold beads, and a hook and its line are painted onto the wood-look grip. The handguard carries a wood look with the rivets left visible. The magazine is dark and banded and greens towards the bottom: from the side it reads as a tail fin.

What the short build changes

In Rust it's officially the Assault Rifle (AR), though most players just say AK or AK-47. The short format leaves off the rear shoulder stock: total length comes down to 50cm, while the receiver, magazine and barrel keep the scale of the full-length version.

What players ask about the Fish AK

What is the Fish skin in Rust? An AK skin that turns the gun into a fish: green and gold scales, an eye at the back of the receiver, a hook and line on the grip.

Can I take the magazine out? Yes, it slides out and goes back in. Handy for photos or for changing the display angle.

Why is this AK 50cm instead of 75cm? Because the rear stock isn't part of the build. Everything else keeps the scale of the full-length version, only the total length changes.
