This is the grey, unpainted version of our Rust AK prop — a blank base for your own paintjob. Whether you recreate an in-game skin (Alien Red, Comics, From Hell) or invent your own, the smooth PLA surface takes acrylic paint cleanly. The plain grey finish is why some players search for it as the "white AK" — it's the neutral starting point before any colour goes on.
The Rust AK, unpainted and full size
It's the same 1:1 lifesize 75cm body as our painted AKs, just bare. In Rust it's officially the Assault Rifle (AR) — most players call it the AK or AK-47. Once you've painted it, wall-mount it, stand it on a shelf, or show it off behind a stream. Official Rust merchandise, ready for your own skin.
What players ask about the DIY AK
Is it painted? No — this is the unpainted grey (DIY) version. It arrives as a bare PLA AK, a blank canvas for your own paintjob.
What paint should I use? Acrylic paints work best on the PLA surface. Recreate any in-game skin or design your own.
How does it compare to your painted AKs? Same 75cm lifesize AK body — the painted versions are hand-airbrushed by us, the DIY is left grey for you to finish yourself.

Is this a functional firearm?
No. Every piece we make is a non-firing display prop. There is no functional bolt or firing mechanism, no barrel bore, and no live parts. It is built to be looked at, not fired.
How long does shipping take?
Standard production lead time is 7–10 working days from order. Once shipped, EU 2–4 days, US 4–8 days, ROW 5–14 days. Tracked via DHL or USPS depending on destination.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes — we ship to 50+ countries from our workshop in Bavaria.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
14 days, no questions asked. Item must be returned in its original packaging. Customs on international returns are the buyer's responsibility.
How do I clean and care for it?
A microfiber cloth and a dry brush is all you need. Avoid solvents, alcohol-based cleaners and direct sunlight for long periods. Our matte sealer is robust but it's not invincible.
